Our documentry will be set in Abbis home town, so obviously she knows alot about the area and which location siwll be best to shoot at. I have only been to Brighton a few times myself, so I dont know the area that well atall. I have deceided to do a bit of location research so I can imagne what we have tro work with.
For our end sequence we would like to film on the beach and pier at night time. I think that that it would make a very good location, as the lighgts are so bright and vibrant and would make a very good ending shot. These are some shots that I found of Brighton beach in the day time. For our first sequence we would like to have Sam and Jordon on the beach in the day. We would also like to uyse the natural sounds that come with being on a beach, such as waves crashing, seagulls, children playing.
I like the colours of the houses on the street and think one sequence that would be good would be to have her and Jordon walking down the street on a daily journey.
This is the school that Sam went to as a teenager and where she was when she fell pregnant. Also Jordon has now started here as a year 7. As this schools holds so much emotional value to both Sam and Jordon, we think it is vital to do some filming of it. Due to access issues, it may just be a case of the two of them walking through the school gates.
This research has given me a wider insight into the locoations that we can possibly film at.

Well done for starting to think about locations - remember you need to clearly visually as well as through audio signpost the sense of PLACE - think about 'classic' Brighton images. Also - remember to check the weather reports to find a day which suits any external shoots!
